I have always had a creative spirit. My poor mother didn’t know what to do with me when I was younger! The clothes I wore and the messes I made painting everything and dying my hair every color drove her crazy! Luckily, I have been able to refine and harness my creativity through photography. My journey with photography began in college when I took some classes just for fun. I was hooked! I found a local photographer in my area and began as a second shooter at weddings and 7 years, a marriage and two beautiful kids later, here I am and I still love photographing weddings more than anything else!
I love to be with Brides every step of the way and capture every moment of the big day! My style is both traditional and photo-journalistic. Throughout the whole day, I will be snapping candids of everything that is going on. I love to get all the unique details–the decor, the bouquet, the rings, the shoes, the guys putting on their cuff links, the bride putting in her veil, everything that you worked so hard putting together and that you will want to remember for a lifetime!
However, I also love having plenty of time to take creative and unique posed pictures. More than likely these will be the pictures that you will want to display on your wall. We want to be sure to get plenty shots of just the bride, the bridesmaids, the groomsmen, family, and of course the bride and groom together and with the whole wedding party. These shots can take place before (if a first look is done) or after the wedding and we can discuss a good amount of time to set aside for these!
I have probably been to more weddings than you will go to in your lifetime, so I love to help Brides think through their big day and plan out a timeline together. Let’s chat soon!
