As a wedding photographer in Phoenix, Arizona, I often get asked what my wedding photography style is. Do I shoot candids or posed photos? Am I photojounralistic or traditional? It is always a hard question to answer because Brides have preconcieved ideas about what they want. My answer is that I do both. While I am shooting a wedding, I am working 100% of the time! I am constantly shooting! So yes, I am very photojournalistic and get tons of candids. However, what Brides don’t realize is that all those beautiful photos on pinterest that “look” like candids really didn’t just happen. Sometimes if there is an opportune time you can set up a photo that has more of a candid look opposed to traditional poses. So I also love to give direction in particular moments to capture some awesome images that more than likely wouldn’t happen on their own! I think great wedding photographers are able to do both. Usually what people are really wanting to know is that all of their pictures aren’t going to look the same and that I am not going to make them do the “prom” pose that their mother had in all her wedding photos. So if that is the question, then the answer is definitely no! I love to be creative and get all kinds of interesting shots of your big day! I want to make sure that you have the best of both worlds–lots of creativity, but also some traditional photos that you or your family might want! I work with each Bride to make sure that I get all the shots that she wants! Doing Wedding Photography in Phoenix, Arizona is so much fun and I hope to work with you in the future!
