Picking a hotel can be as easy as choosing a place close to the venue or searching for the best deal. Reserving a block of rooms and putting information in your invitation for guests just helps those that will be coming from out of town. Especially if you have a lot of family that would enjoy staying near each other. I actually forgot to do this for my wedding and I felt really bad! Reserving rooms, doesn’t mean that you will have to pay for all of them (which is what I thought!). Most hotels offer this complimentary service and are happy for the extra business! Just call around!
The next fun thing you get to do is Register!! Whoohoo, you get to go around to stores and just scan anything and everything that you might want or need for your new life together! If you like to be organized, you can make a list of what you need. If you like to wing it like me, just go out and start scanning 🙂
Lastly, if you choose, you can make a wedding website. There are tons of free places to do this like theknot.com. It can be a lot of fun creating it. You can list all the details of the wedding for guests to go back to and also put information about the town, directions, hotel accommodations, etc. You can put pictures of you and your fiancé, the wedding party, etc. I also love when couples share their love story and a little about their friends and family who will be a part of the wedding.
