After you have worked out your budget, picked your wedding party, and made a rough draft guest list, the next big step is to find a wedding venue and photographer! As a Phoenix, Arizona Wedding Photographer, of course, I am going to put a plug in for me :), but regardless, I want to make sure that you realize how important it is to book a photographer early. People usually think of the venue early on, but often don’t think of the photographer until much later, but these two categories both book up equally fast! The main reason being because each venue and photographer can usually only take one wedding a day while caterers, florists, and rental companies can have many weddings in one day! I have had many brides contact me just a few months out from their wedding panicking because they have contacted so many photographers and everyone is booked! You don’t want to get stuck with the leftovers! Your photographer is probably the person who will be around you the most on your special day! I am right there with my brides capturing every moment with them throughout the entire day! You want to make sure you find someone that you connect with and love their style!
Of course, the venue is also a huge part because they book out way in advance too! You might think that you cannot contact a photographer until you have a specific date and venue already booked, but I often work with brides through that process as well!
